Accident Inventory Report

What is the Accident Inventory Report and What are Its Uses?

A Traffic Accident Inventory is prepared annually for Elkhart County and its cities, St. Joseph County and its cities, and Marshall County and the City of Plymouth.  A separate report is prepared  for use by engineers and planners.  MACOG's accident database can generate information from 1988.   Base data for the report is obtained from the Indiana Department of Transportation.   MACOG's database identifies various high-accident locations in the region, which area engineers use to select  road or intersection improvement projects.
